How to measure correctly
  • Neck: measure just below the larynx at the narrowest point, tape horizontal and snug but not compressed.
  • Waist: men — around the navel; women — narrowest point between ribs and hips.
  • Hip: around the widest part of the hips; female measurement only.
  • Measure in the morning, fasted, standing naturally, without holding breath. Tape should touch skin without compressing it.

Numbers accept ASCII digits and an optional period (no comma). Age 18-120 whole; other fields must be positive and within sensible ranges.

Navy formula typical SD ~3-4%. BMI-based method is unreliable for athletes or people with unusual muscle mass.
